Mission Statement
MISSION STATEMENT: Little Patriots Embraced, Inc.
is a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce the
emotional and psychological stress faced by the families of
the deployed U.S. military serving throughout the world.
GOALS: To deliver emotional and psychological support
for the children and spouses of our deployed military through
transitional and support objects. To empower military spouses
through educational scholarships. To assist with employment
of military spouses. To show appreciation to the military
families for the sacrifices they make for our country.
OBJECTIVES: Help reduce the emotional and psychological
stress to military family members caused by separation, relocation,
and death. Increase employment opportunities for spouses of
military personnel. Provide spouses with financial assistance
for childcare while participating in our scholarship program.
Unite the citizens of our country to thank the often forgotten
military family members for their sacrifices.
ACTIVITIES: The primary ongoing activity for Little
Patriots Embraced is the collection of monetary donations.
These donations will allow for the acquisition and distribution
of our family packages. Additional plans include our MD-TEC
Fund (military dependent-tuition, emergency, and childcare
fund) which will allow military spouses to pursue their educational
goals, as well as provide other opportunities for families
of the military
.
Items included in the Little Patriots Embraced family
package are: teddy bears, blankets, a patriotic quilt,
soothing and relaxing music CD, writing journals, and a magnetic
card holder that holds essential contact information. These
products are designed specifically for the unique needs of
our military families and most are supported by research.
(Research has shown that items similar to those in our Little
Patriot's family package help meet the emotional and psychological
needs of those in similar stress-related situations).
Fundraising activities will be conducted under the supervision
of our National Fundraising Director. Our organization
will conduct an array of activities throughout the year that
will fall under our program for fundraising, "Pennies
for Little Patriots." Fundraising will consist of, but
not be limited to, golf tournaments, auctions, walk/runs,
and other voluntary events that will increase public awareness
of Little Patriots Embraced, while concurrently generating
monetary donations from the general public. In addition we
intend to seek grants, corporate sponsorships, and memberships
for support of the program.
